Here is the brand new long awaited image called Toot Toot!!

When I first saw this image I immediately thought of Christmas... as a child I recall my Mom telling me that she and her siblings had a train going around their Christmas tree that my grandparents would put out each year. Then as my sister and I got a little older she got a super cute and sweet Precious Moments train that went around our Christmas tree each year.

I decided to create a birthday card instead for a friend's little one.

It's all about the Paper...

Happy Aloha Friday everyone!! I hope you are having a great day and looking forward to a wonderful weekend, I know I am. Things have been pretty hectic and I am looking and hoping to get a nice long sleep tonight.

Let's get on with today's Copic Creations Challenge.... this week the team were sponsored with such beautiful papers from The Paper Temptress. All of us at Copic Creations love our copics and also love to stick to our favorite cardstock to color on.

I must admit that I have always been coloring in Neenah Card stock and love it!! But this card I created here was made with Cryogen White Iridescent Card stock from The Paper Temptress and I found it to be really smooth, absorbs well if you color heavy and it also has a little shimmer to it too!!

All the paper here is from the same company. The black card is made with Epic Black Classic Columns, as well as Mt. Rose Glimmer, and Green Ruche which shows a threadlike texture.

The images I've used is called Tulip Birgitta and Swiss Pixie Spring Bench. I also used the cloud die from CC Designs and made them with felt.

Ready For Spring and Easter?

Just the other day my 3 year old niece and I were talking on the phone about getting ready for Easter. The first thing out of her mouth was aunty Easter is in 2 weeks.... Oh boy! I really didn't realize Easter was just around the corner. I know there's still time for me to create some treats and little baskets but as you all know these things take time and planning.

One thing that I wanted to create for a while but only had the opportunity to do now is this adorable watering can. Today the challenge for Flutterby Wednesday is to create with pastels, and the challenge for All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge is to create this watering can.
The image I used is called Tulip Monkey and the sentiment on the back of the watering can is from Stampin' Up.
You will have one week to participate in both challenges and be sure to check out both of them as there are wonderful prizes to be won too!!

Hey there!! Time for a fun and new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!! Well, Spring has sprung in some areas of the world with it's beautiful flowers, and soon the Easter bunny will make his way to hide those eggs! But before all of that, we must prepare with a Spring Challenge!! That's right all you need to do this week is THINK SPRING!!

I just thought this was a cute, sweet and fun image for Spring!! Gotta love that adorable Easter bunny at the bottom of the birdhouse. The image is called Home Tweet Home.
I wanted to have a little fun with my cards so I added a little pocket on the side and inserted a Happy Easter tag for the recipient. I love that this paper I used came with pre-made tags!! You'll have a week to join the fun!! Have a great day!

I hope all of you are enjoying the start of a new work week!! Have all of you enjoyed the latest releases from Belles n' Whistles last week? I just loved both the Sweet Art Girls and Fairy Friends Collections!! Today brings us to a new challenge for Belles n' Whistles and this allows me to have more fun with these stamps!! Our challenge for you this week is to use BLUE, GREEN and WHITE.

I've never used this color combo for an entire card and I must say that I loved them together!! It was sooo much fun! The image I chose is called Lilypad Dreams. Doesn't she look so sweet and peaceful. When I create, I love to use glitter and these fairies are the perfect image for it. Basically, I used glitter on her wings, the punched white butterflies, and around the image itself.
Don't forget that a new challenge will begin every other Monday, we will accept all new cards and creations for the current challenge and only images created by Elisabeth Bell are accepted and will qualify for prizes. I can't wait to see what all of you will bring to this challenge!! Enjoy the day!

It's Monday and that means it's time for a new Greeting Card Challenge with The Outlawz!! The challenge is for you to create a card where at least 50% of the entire card is white. I think this technique has to be one of my top 5 favorites just because it really showcases the image and it's fun to create with papers and embellishments that are all the same color.

The image I chose is called Little Lolli, she from one of the latest releases in April with All That Scraps.

No, not the soap opera... it's our challenge for all of you this week at Sassy Cheryl's! The challenge this week is to create with Bold and Bright Colors. I think right now most of us have been creating cards with pastel colors so this is always a nice break.

This image I chose is called Funky Watering Can with Flowers. This was a fun image to color and one that I know I'd use for any occasion. Have you seen the latest images? Oh they are too cute, I know I need to get them! Be sure to go to the store and get them now!!

Spring Is In The Air

Can you believe we are already getting ready to celebrate Easter very soon? Time really just flew by since we celebrated the start of a new year. This month's challenge is SPRING! That means you are able to create anything with this theme. Crissy has created the cutest and sweetest digital images just perfect for the challenge. The image I have used is called Bunny with Flowers.

I love that he can be used for Easter but also for any other occasion. Be sure to get your new digital images from Crissy at Whimsy Stamps! Don't forget that you don't have to use an image created by Crissy, you can use any other image and still be included in the draw for the prize which happens to be 5 digital images!! But if you use an image from Crissy you will be added to the drawing twice. You can also participate in only up to 3 entries with each challenge per month otherwise your entries could be deleted.

ATS April Sneak Peeks: New Dies!!

It's the weekend! YAY! My favorite part of the week, hee hee! To

day is the last day of sneak peeks with All That Scraps and we

are featuring some new dies from CC Designs. They are Clouds, Parentheses, Label Tag 1 and Banner Strips.

Here's the card I created using some of the latest dies. The image is called Tulip Monkey, and the sentiment set called All About You will also be released on Sunday April 3rd. When creating my card I wanted to be sure to use as many of the new dies, they are Clouds, Parenthesis and Tag1. For the clouds I thought it would be fun to create them out of felt, looks a bit more realistic.

Happy Aloha Friday, and Happy Birthday to my Mom!! Can you believe it's April? It sure feels like we just celebrated Christmas not too long ago. Well the first of the month means it's time for a new challenge with Copic Creations! The theme today is your Favorite Technique. Out of all of the techniques we have used for our challenges, which one is your favorite?

I have many favorites but this time I went with Feather Blending. It's a challenge for me so I thought I'd try it out again.

This challenge the Design Team were sponsored with stamps from Crafty Secrets. The set I used is called Wizard of Oz. I just fell in love with this cute scene of Dorothy and Toto, then I had to add that sweet sentiment to match!

Inside Out

It's time to create a Christmas card with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long!! I am really loving all of these challenges and hope you are too! Our challenge is to decorate the Inside and Outside of your card. This week the design team was sponsored with digital images from Pink Cat Studio!! The image I used is called Birds Make A Christmas Cupcake.

I usually don't create something for the inside of my card but I realize that this really ties everything together nicely. I used to think that it would take too much of my time to decorate the inside but it's really simple. I just felt that adding a few papers to match the front, and a sentiment did the job.

Today at All That Scraps we are featuring the NEW and cute images from Sweet November! The image I used is called Penelope and Fibonacci, I love how each little friend in this line of Sweet November stamps have a name.

I think Penelope is adorable with that cute snail and mushroom for her umbrella! I have also added some crystal lacquer to the shell of Fibonacci (the snail).

Are you loving all of the cute and new Easter images Sassy Cheryl has released these past few weeks, I know I am! Here is another adorable one called The Zippity Bunny. One of the great things about Easter this year is that it's late April, this will hopefully give me lots of time to create cards and little treats for my friends, and family.

Our challenge for you this week with Sassy Cheryl is this wonderful sketch created by Tracy. I love working with sketches, it's one less thing to think about after coloring an image.

Not only do we have this challenge for you but every Tuesday we also have Color Me Tuesdays where the winning card will be the model card for that image in the store!! A Merry Go!

If you're like me, you are going to love this week's challenge with Belles n' Whistles!! Our theme this week is Sparkle, Glitter and Shine! I can always find a way to use glitter on just about any card I create, so this was easy and fun for me.

I thought this adorable image from Belles n' Whistles was just perfect for all that glitter, it's called A Merry-Go.

I'm not sure you can see it but if you look closely you will see that I have added glitter to the border of the image, parts of the horse, and to all of the hearts on the card. Each of those hearts were punched out from a Martha Stewart border punch in red and yellow and then I added some stickles to them.

Doesn't this remind you of being at a carnival, so much fun! Remember that you can use any image illustrated by Elisabeth Bell and you'll have 2 weeks to participate. Thanks for your visit!! =)

Hey Precious!

I hope all of you had a great weekend, I sure did! I spent a few hours with a group of wonderful crafting friends and celebrated a friend's birthday with a surprise lunch. But now we are back to another Monday and the start of a new work week.

The card below uses an image that I have not used in a really long time, this happens to be one of my Precious Moments stamps that have never seen ink in years.

This week the Monday Greeting Card challenge with The Outlawz is the theme of March Madness... we want to see either your favorite image, color or sentiment on your creation. So I chose my favorite line of stamps, precious moments. It was a difficult decision since I have so many favorites. I've also used my favorite color pink.
Don't forget that you could win a $50 gift certificate to Oozak for the entire month of March, just as long as you participate in any challenge this month. This is a really great prize and something even I wouldn't pass up if I could play. LOL!

I know most of us are not ready for Christmas to be here anytime soon, but have some of you been creating your holiday cards? This week at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long the design team have been sponsored by Perfect Presentation and have created with their templates.

The template I have used here is called Pop n' Top. It's a cube shaped box that remains hinged in the back so the lid stays connected to the box.
It also has a diagonal decorative edge to both sides of the box. The theme of this week's challenge is to create a card or project by stamping your own background paper. So I decided to bring out a very old and retired Stampin' Up! set called Merry. I used a pair of mittens and some snowflakes.
Here's the box opened so you can see what I mean by the diagonal sides and the hinged back.
Last and of course not least, I have used an adorable image from Magnolia's Merry Little Christmas Collection called Angel Tilda. She was the perfect size to accent the box. I hope that you'll join us for a little 3D fun!! Enjoy the day!

Girls Rock!

I'm so happy it's Thursday because tomorrow's a holiday for me! I am in need of some sleep. Once in a while I have a chance to create something that is not for any of my design teams and this happens to be one of them. I created this card for a friend's niece...hope she likes it!

He says she is now into a little punk rock, so I thought this was perfect for her. I love pink and brown together but I also love pink and black together. The image I used is called Rock Chick and she is a Kenny K image I got from All That Scraps.
Of course I had to add some stitching on my card but since it's a cute little punk rocker, I thought adding bling was the perfect embellishment too. I hope all of you who have the day off tomorrow make the best of it!! Thanks for stopping by!! =)

This week seems to be going by pretty quickly, happy hump day to all of you! It's time for a new challenge with Flutterby Wednesday! It's an open challenge so that means you can use any image just be sure to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card. The image I have here is a new one from CC Designs called Swiss Pixie Birthday Gretel, isn't she sweet!

Things Are Lookin' Up!

Are you ready for Spring? Here at Sassy Cheryl's we are all ready for Spring with these cute, fun and new images!! This week our theme is to use something new. So besides using a new image called The Flower Pot Bunny, I used a new scalloped square spellbinder around my image.

I also wanted to try out a sketch challenge and went with one from Sketch Saturday.

ATS March Review Previews

Hey there, today is review preview day with All That Scraps and we are featuring cards using the releases from the month of March. I wanted to try a different way of card making so I did absolutely no coloring on my image. I simply stamped my image called Cupcake Birgitta into some purple ink.

I really never thought I'd post a card without ever using my copics, it was hard believe me! LOL! I've also used my CC Balloon Cutters, twine, spellbinders and Amy R's Birthday sentiments which were all released this month. I think I am going back to coloring, I miss my copics! Let's Hear It For The Boys!

It's Monday and I hope it's a great day to start off your work week!! Today is a new challenge with The Outlawz and the theme this week is "Let's Hear It For The Boys!" Most of us don't make many cards for the boys/men in our lives so this is the perfect time to do just that.

So here's what I created using a stamp set from The Greeting Farm called My Guy Ian that you can get from All That Scraps. I initially created this card to be for something all occasion but later used it to give to my hubby's cousin for his birthday... see how handy creating cards are! =)
I did some stitching with my sewing machine, added some stars and used my ric rac die cutter from CC Designs. The sentiment comes along with the stamp set.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

This has been a nice relaxing week for me since I've been on vacation, it was too short and I wish I had another week!! I've been having so much fun creating and coloring and want to share a card I created for my parents who celebrated their wedding anniversary on St. Patrick's Day.

I have been wanting to create a white on white card for a while and felt this was the perfect opportunity for it. I also love these adorable Lily of The Valley stamps and finally had a chance to ink up this sweet couple called I Do!! Easel cards are pretty and fun too!!
Here's a close up of the sentiment which comes from another Lily of the Valley image called Together Forever. You can also see that I have embossed the paper with my cuttlebug folder, use my spellbinders to accent the sentiment and glittered the edges too!
Here's what the card looks like from a frontal view. I love the pretty pinks against the white!!
Lastly, a photo of the celebrated couple and a close up of the details. I added some stickles to her veil, the roses, and around the image. Behind the image I added a paper doily and accented the top with a white satin bow. The corners were embellished with clear dew drops. The week sure flew by, I am sad since this is my last day on vacation from work. This week at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long we are creating cards with vellum. I have not used vellum in a really long time, so this was fun to be able to use it again.

This week the design team were sponsored with digital images from InStyle Stamps, this image is called Merry Kissmas. Isn't he a cute monkey! I stamped my sentiment onto vellum and layered it over solid cardstock so you could see it better. I've added some snowflakes and bling for fun. I can't believe we are already just about to celebrate St. Patrick's Day tomorrow, this year is flying by!! Today begins a new challenge with Flutterby Wednesday, the theme is to create with the color green and to use a sketch created by Carly.

The image I used is called The Saint Bear and is from Sassy Cheryl's... I couldn't wait to color him up but wanted to save him for the right time.

Got the Blues?

It's time for another challenge with Copic Creations!! This challenge is all about the blues, not the feeling, not the music but the color of course! The design team have created with images from Sugar Nellie and I decided to use one of my Gorjuss Girls.

I loved creating with the various shades of blues and had fun coloring her dress. The colors I used for her dress were not the usual copic colors I use. This time I used B26, B34 and B37. As I created my card I was able to use this new and pretty paper from My Mind's Eye called Hattie and also found a starfish charm that I thought matched the image. Lastly, I did some sewing around the edge of the image and on the base of the card.

Not that kind of "nature calls", LOL!! This week at Sassy Cheryl's our challenge is to create with the theme of Nature. As mentioned last week, Cheryl has created lots and lots of new and cute images... this is one of them and it's called The Nature Nap Boy. Today I am the host for the next 2 week challenge with Belles n' Whistles!! The challenge I have for you is to create with the theme of Anything For Spring!!

I love Spring and the pretty pastel colors so this was fun for me. The image I used is called Wishes, I picture her making a wish to bring lots of pretty flowers for Spring.

I am not usually one who creates with lavender but wanted to challenge myself a bit. Purple is my niece's favorite color and I plan to give this card to her for Easter. I hope she likes it!

Animal Mania

Happy Monday everyone!! This week I am on vacation from work and hubby and decided not to go somewhere this time so I am going to take advantage of that by cleaning up and cleaning out my craftroom!! That is a huge project and I know all of you know what I mean. I'm excited to get it all cleaned out and a better set up but I just don't look forward to all that labor... LOL!!

Anyway today we have a new challenge for the Outlawz Monday Greeting Cards, the theme is Animals.

In case you haven't heard, we are calling it a Greeting card challenge and have the rule that you must include a sentiment on your card and to follow that week's theme.

The image I used here is from TGF and is called Oliver and Amelia Happy Day and can be bought HERE. I knew I wanted to use this adorable image for the animal card challenge because of how cute he and those animals are. I love the way he carries his little dinosaur!

This image I used is called Merry and Bright. I just love how cute these penguins are!!

Here's the photo that we would like for you to use in this week's challenge. When I created my card I decided not to go with the color of the dress, so I went for the ruffles instead.

It's really hard too see in both photos but I have gathered a black grosgrain ribbon at the bottom of my card to resemble the ruffles from the dress. We'd love to see your take on the challenge too, can't wait to see what all of you create!! Have a great day!

It's Wednesday and that means time for a new challenge with All That Scraps Wednesday challenge! This week we'd like to see you create with any image from the ATS Store using buttons. Lately I have been on a kick with using buttons on my cards so this was the perfect challenge for me! LOL!

The image I used here is a new one that was released on Monday and is called Cupcake Birgitta, isn't she just adorable!! I have been waiting for such cute birthday images from CC Designs and hope to create lots of cards with them. The sentiment I used is also now available and was created by Amy R called It's Your Birthday and can be found HERE.

I just thought he was sooo cute for Easter!! Love his sack of Easter eggs too!! Lately I have been back to sewing on my cards, I love the look of it and how it really adds a nice and special touch to the card. It's really fun and easy to sew on paper!

I hope all of you are enjoying the challenges we have going on with the Outlawz Challenges, we have a new name for the Monday challenges and instead of Birthday Challenges we are now calling it Greeting Card Challenges.

This week the challenge is to create using Punches on your card. I know there are lots of you out there that have lots of punches to create with so bring them out and join us!! I decided to create with using my dies, I have lots of punches but wanted to use my dies this time.

Tiffany Doodles Challenge Day!

It's Monday and also time for a new challenge with Tiffany Doodles!! That's right, every 7th of the month we have a new challenge for you. This month we have a photo inspiration challenge, and would love to see your take.

Here's what I've created using the digital image called Forsythia and Pussywillows. I went with using mostly pinks for my card.

Stitch It Up!

Whoo hoo!! The weekend is finally here! We are now into a new month and that means we have a new challenge for you at Sunday's With Crissy. This month's theme is stitching...this could be faux stitching or real sewing stitches. I used my sewing machine for the stitches on my card and used one of my favorite dog images called Doggie Pile.

I did some zigzag stitches around the base of my card and let the printed papers do the rest.

Hello everyone I am back with another post for today, it's the continuation of sneak peeks from All That Scraps! Today the team has created cards with new astrological images from the Sweet November line. The image I used is called Aquarius.

I was really nervous about coloring this image but I think it turned out better than I had expected. It was fun creating this card even though this is not my astrological sign.
For accents I added a matching flower in her hair and used some stickles around the image and lastly did some sewing with my sewing machine around the card. Copic Creations: Complimentary Colors

Can you believe we're already beginning a new month? Where has the time gone? Here we go with a new challenge for Copic Creations! For the next 2 weeks our theme is using complimentary colors. This means using colors that are opposite of each other on the color wheel. So I went with Red and Green.

The design team were sponsored with digital images from Crafts and Me and the image here is called Ladybug Love. I love how gorgeous the images are and how easy they are to work with.
I have added some glitter to her eyeshadow and to the pin in her hair but just could not get the right lighting to show that. I hope you'll join us for the fun!

Hey everyone, are you ready for a new challenge with Elisabeth Bell's World? Well, this month is another fun one that involves a recipe! Technically we are looking for creations that are projects and not cards, I am under the weather and completely forgot about that. So here's what not to do... lol.

I created an easel card that displays my recipe which is lemonade. I am already thinking ahead to Summer. It's not my favorite time of year since it can get pretty hot during those months, but it will be here in no time.

Winter Wishes

It's a holiday for most of us here in the U.S., we are celebrating President's Day! I wish I were enjoying the weekend but I had gotten sick on Friday and feel horrible... having the chills, body aches and fever are no fun at all.

So I am going to keep this short since I need to get my rest.

We've got a new birthday challenge with the Outlawz, and our theme is to create a winter birthday card.

I've chose to work with a sweet and sexy image from TGF called Cheeky Xmas. Since I never had a chance to use her during the holidays, this seemed like the perfect time.

A Rainbow of Colors

Happy hump day! It's been pretty busy for me in blogland, I've got lots to create and lots to share. This is my second posting today so please scroll down for the first one!! I used to be a designer for InStyle Stamps a couple of years ago and last year was invited back as a guest and this month I am back as a guest again!! The image here is called Flower Fence which I find great for making all occasion cards.

It's also time for a new Flutterby Wednesday challenge!! This week our theme is to use a rainbow or a rainbow of colors. I went for the rainbow of colors on my card. The pretty pastels make this such a cheerful Spring card. I've got more images to share from InStyle Stamps throughout the month, so stay tuned!!

Tiffany Doodles: New Feathered Friends!

I hope all of you had a great Valentine's Day celebration! When most of us think about creating cards we don't really think about using things that can be reused. I try to but that definitely doesn't always happen. So that brings me to today's challenge with Sassy Cheryl's which is Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

My card uses an image called Sassy Happiness...by the way you must head on over to the store now, Cheryl has some new images!! For the challenge I went with the approach of not buying anything new... so I stuck to reusing my printed papers and a ribbon that I received from a gift.

You can interpret the challenge any way you'd like and we want to see it!

Luvin' Lavendar

Happy Aloha Friday everyone!! Today I'm sharing a card I created for Elisabeth Bell's Digital DT using a sweet image called Parasol. I initially thought this would only be appropriate for a baby shower but it could also be used for a Spring or Easter card.

Besides coloring the image I had fun creating the ribbon on the bottom of my card. For those of you who don't have a sewing machine, don't worry, I didn't sew the ribbon. It appears that way but it isn't. LOL!!

To create the gathered and sewn effect, I simply added one strip of tape across the bottom which holds the top of the ribbon. Little by little I gathered and pressed it on the tape.

Lastly I added a strip of designer paper to cover the top of the ribbon. Thanks for your visit today!

Tiffany Doodles: LOVE

Hey there!! Today is challenge day with Tiffany Doodles and the theme is LOVE. There have been changes made to the challenges... instead of having them for a month, it's now going to be for 2 weeks. But, it will continue to be only once a month starting on the 7th.

For the challenge I went with an image called Strawberry Hearts. I love to eat strawberries but for some reason I also enjoy things with strawberries too.
After coloring the image with my copics, I wanted to add a little something to the strawberries so I used some crystal lacquer and added some diamond glaze glitter for fun. Today's card I'm sharing with you was made for the February challenge for Sunday's with Crissy, this month the theme is LOVE! The images I have used for my card are new digital images drawn by Crissy Armstrong called Can I Kiss You and Sweet Sarah.

I had gone pretty wild with all the pink on the card but it was fun creating with it! One thing is you can hardly see the bouquet of red roses he is hiding behind his back.

ATS Sneak Peek: Celebrate!!

So what do you think about those new releases so far? Cute huh!! Today we continue with the February sneak peeks with All That Scraps and I've incorporated all new stamps and another new die! The stamps are the super cute Flower Kiki La Rue, and Little Tag Set. There's also a die cut that will cut out tags and flowers.

I rarely create in lavendar but since I found my Kaisercraft lavendar paper pad I had to use it! This was once my favorite color years and years ago but now I just can't resist pink!!
Here's a close up of the flower, I added some lavendar liquid pearls to the center and did the same to the flowers Kiki is holding, as well as the flower on her headband. Kung Hee Fat Choy!!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!! Every year my grandparents take the entire family out for a Chinese new year lunch and this year we had lunch on Sunday and I decided to create some favors for the occasion. I made 30 take out boxes using my Sizzix XL die.

Since this year is the year of the rabbit I used my Sizzix Bigz Bunny. This bunny is from the Hello Kitty line of Sizzix dies. Isn't she cute!!

After piecing all of the boxes together and cutting and piecing the bunny I had baked almond cookies to fill in the boxes.

This was a really fun and easy project to do. I didn't do all of this in one weekend, I created a little each day and then baked everything the day before. Hey there!! We are already onto our 2nd challenge of the year with Copic Creations!! I hope you had fun with the first challenge which was using something new. The challenge for the next 2 weeks is to create a card using Cool Colors. So I went for pastel colors and used lavendar and light blue.

This time, the team was sponsored by Lily of the Valley Stamps. They have the cutest and sweetest images of little boys and girls, I love it! This one here is called Mirror, Mirror.
I just had to use little white pearls for her necklace and also added some glitter to the mirror. Hey everyone, it's been a while since my last posting but I am back with lots to share with you all week long!! Anyway today is a new challenge with Belles n' Whistles and for the next 2 weeks we'd like to see you create a Vintage card.

I love the vintage look but it's something that I don't do very often so it was a good challenge for me.

This sweet adorable image is called Little Eden. I tried to keep to the pink and tan color combo, and added some matching lace for a vintage look.

Are you in the mood for love? That's the challenge this week with Sassy Cheryl's!! Cheryl has got some really cute and sweet digital images for Valentine's Day that you must see and have! The image I used here today is not a Valentine image but one I felt represented love. It's called The First Move.

I think it's sweet that he's tying her shoes laces, he must really love and adore her! For my card I decided to keep the theme of him tying her laces and did a little bit of that on the card for decoration.

Altered with Love

I hope all of you enjoyed the holidays and had a chance to participate in last month's challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge blog!! If you missed it, don't worry because today and every 25th of the month we hold a new challenge! This month the challenge is to alter anything, but it must have the theme of LOVE.

For some reason, I have been in the mood to create projects that involve clear objects. So here's another. I chose to alter a clear pail can and used a sweet image from Belles n' Whistles called Sweet Love. I don't think it gets any sweeter for Valentine's day with this image!!
This is the sentiment I used for the cover of my tin, I think it ties in well with the couple.
I've also added some pink organza bows, and red hearts all around the tin. Now it's your turn and here are the rules to follow:

1. You can use any image that Elisabeth has illustrated.

(Please also post where the stamp or image can be purchased).

2. Entries may be combined with other challenges, and you can enter multiple times.

3. A direct link to your ENTRY (not blog) must be added to Mr. Linky on the challenge blog.

Hey there!! Today is day #2 of sneak peeks for the upcoming floral release from Tiffany Doodles! One of the releases include this image called Daphne Flower with Oval. The image is already in it's own oval and ready to be cut with an oval Spellbinder die.

It really was a fun and easy card to create especially since the image already has it's own border. There are many other floral images that will be released this Friday Jan. 28th.

Happy Aloha Friday!! I'm looking foward to hopefully a relaxing yet productive weekend since the past few weekends were quite hectic. The card I am sharing with you today uses a really beautiful image illustrated by Elisabeth Bell, called February Flutter.

I am in the mood to create and color with pinks and reds because Valentine's Day is coming soon so I had to give her a red gown. This image reminds me of my 3 year old niece who plays with her Disney prince and princesses, I'm sure she'd take one look at this image and say the same thing!!

The scrolls on the corners of the image were made with 2 punches. I just arranged them and placed them where I thought it would look best, then added some bling to the ends.

I know many of you love to create with images that were made into rubber stamps from Elisabeth, and may not be familiar with her digital images, so take a look HERE!! You'll love them just the same! Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!!

Do Not Disturb...

Just the other day I told my hubby that I realize Valentine's Day is one of my favorite celebrations of the year (besides Halloween and Christmas)... I think coloring all the sweet images and using pinks and reds helps to make it more of a favorite for me! It's also a day that comes too quickly after Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Anyway, I've got a really cute cute image for you from Sassy Cheryl's, and a new challenge too!

This week we are creating cards using Buttons and Bows. The name of this sweet image is called Do Not Disturb While Kissing!!

What a great title for the image! I just knew I wanted to create with it right away! It of course fits perfectly for Valentine's Day but also for Anniversaries too!!

Let's Celebrate!!

Hey blogland! I hope all of you are enjoying your Monday so far. Today we begin a new challenge with Belles n' Whistles, and the challenge is Anything But Christmas/Winter. I know all of you probably are tired of creating holiday cards so this should be a nice break and start for the year.

I have created a card using a sweet image called Cupcake! You can really use this stamp for all occasions, not just birthdays so I kept the sentiment rather general.
I love trying to use all of the craft items I have not had a chance to use and one of them include that Fiskar's cupcake border punch going across my card. The other is that pretty pink gingham ruffled ribbon. I used the ribbon as a border across the card and then used it to decorate around the sentiment.

Copic Creations: Something NEW!!

I'm thrilled that it's a 3 day weekend!! Today is the very first challenge of the year for Copic Creations!! The topic of this challenge is to create a card or project using something new. DigiBell's Blog Hop: My Prince!!

Hello everyone!! If you have arrived here from Janneke's Blog you are in the correct place!! Otherwise, please start at the beginning from the Digi Bells Blog. Welcome to the very first digital image of the year from Elisabeth Bell, called My Prince, you can get him HERE!! How beautiful is she and how cute is that frog!! We are very close to celebrating Valentine's Day and so I have created a treat box instead of a card. There are several different views so you can see it all.

Here is a side view of the acetate box I made. I followed a tutorial HERE. The difference is that I had made a larger box and adjusted the measurements.

Below is a photo of what the top of the box looks like. I added a sentiment on the top so it could be given to someone special.

This photo is to show you that I've filled the box with candy and added some punched hearts to side for decoration.

Happy hump day!! Today the Flutterby Wednesday team is so lucky to have gotten a sketch created by a talented 12 year old named Carly!! She has agreed to create sketches on regular basis for us!! Carly if you're reading this, I just loved working with this sketch!! =)

The image I am using here on this card is called Sweetheart Birgitta, she is from the latest January release from All That Scraps. She is another adorable Swiss Pixie from CC Designs. One of the fun and new things are the keys I scattered on the card. These are dies that you can now purchase from the store, HERE!! They are SO perfect for Valentine's day and much more!!

Let It Snow!!

Happy Tuesday!! Today begins a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's and our topic is "Snow"!! I know that most of you who are currently experiencing snow are pretty tired of it and want it to go away, but since there's so much of it there's no better time to have it as our challenge!!

The card I created uses an image called Star Bear. Instead of using a snowman or Santa, I wanted to use this adorable little guy and put him in a shaker with some falling snow. I've also added some red beads in the white snow just for added fun!!

To participate in the challenge, all you need to do is create with a Sassy Cheryl image using the theme of snow, and upload it to the challenge blog. You'll have until next Monday to join us!

Tiffany Doodles: Sketch Challenge

Last Minute Favors

Last week a co-worker asked me to create favors for another co-worker who has dropped her full time status to call in since she will be heading back to school for her nursing degree. I was only asked 2 days prior to the lunch last Thursday and had to create 40 favors. Here's what I came up with.

I thought it was appropriate to use my cute little suitcase die from Sizzix and of course use Hello Kitty... my favorite and yours too!! LOL!! I of course could not create anything that was not going to be to my liking and made something that took hours and hours! It was fun and I think they turned out cute, BUT would not do this again with just 2 days.

For Hello Kitty, I used my Cricut Machine which I love but have neglected for so long. If you plan on making these kinds of favors and to create Hello Kitty to fit perfectly here on the box, you'll want to be sure to use her at 2 1/2" on your cricut.
After the long hours in creating all 40 I must say that seeing how happy my friend and co-workers were, it was all worth it!! Don't you think these make great favors for Valentine's Day? hmm... the wheels are turning again!! =) Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!!

A Juggling Act!!

Hey there! We are back at Sassy Cheryl's to bring you the first challenge of the year!! This week's challenge is to create a card using the color BLUE! It's still snowing in parts of the world and so I decided to make a holiday card using this cute and fun pre-colored image called Single Pyramid Juggler.

I don't usually use these pre-colored images but I think they are perfect for times where you have to create a ton of cards in a short amount of time. Doesn't it look wonderful? I love how quick it was to have an image already colored... usually I take a while to color just one!
I wanted the image to stand out well so I chose to use less embellishments and color around it. The holidays may be over for now but I've got one card made for this coming holiday season!! Copic Creations: Sparkle

Happy hump day everyone, today is a new challenge with Copic Creations!! For the next 2 weeks the challenge is to create a card using Sparkle!! I love glitter and it's definitely perfect for this time of year. The team was generously sponsored by Just Rite Stamps, and have made holiday cards with them.

The set I am using here is called Old Fashioned Christmas Set, and it has 4 wonderful holiday images with 4 interchangeable borders. One of the great things I love about these stamps are how versatile they are and how they go so perfectly with Spellbinders!! If you've never used these stamps before, you've really got to!
I have tried to get good photos of my card to show the sparkle on the snowman and around the spellbinders die cut but only a small amount of that shows here. In this second photo you can see that I have used my cuttlebug embossing folder on the red cardstock and not only the white background.

Ice Cream Anyone?

I don't know about you, but sometimes I just love to eat something cold when the weather is cold!! It could be some shaved ice, or ice cream, yum! Well, this brings me to today's new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's, which is to create a card using snowmen!!

I think we all know and agree that Cheryl creates the most adorable snowmen, and here I have used one named Ice Cream Snowman.

A Winter Princess

WOW! Can you believe we've got only 12 more days until Christmas!! Time really just flies! This weekend I was really in the mood for just about everything Christmas, I listed to Christmas music while cleaning the house, and found a little time to do some holiday cookie baking. I know some of you out there are tired of creating holiday cards but I haven't gotten there just yet. I think it helps to actually create one a week throughout the year so you don't get burnt out toward the end.

Anyway, the holiday card I have today was made with an all occasion digital image from Elisabeth Bell, called Li'l Princess Tutu.

I love the traditional red and green, and the non-traditional pink and light turquoise but I really also love the various shades of blues and purples too!! This color combo is more Winter themed and reminds me of playing in the snow.

On Friday I gathered up all of the Christmas cards that I had made for the year and then have my Mom and MIL pick and choose which ones they want to give out to their friends/family and then the rest I have for hubby and I to send out. I think this year I had created less than I did last year, so that means I have to do my best next year in creating more just in case.

Happy Aloha Friday everyone and WELCOME to our December digital blog hop featuring yet another adorable image from Elisabeth Bell!! I am the first blog you should have arrived from the Digi Bell blog! This month we've got another sweet image, and it's appropriately called Frosty The Snowman.

Oh isn't this scene SO cute!! It reminds me of playing in the snow with my family when we took trips to the mainland during the holidays. Making snowmen and angels were so much fun!!

When I made this card I wanted to show both the warm and cool colors of the holidays, so I made sure to use reds, and light blues and white. I have added a doily behind the image because it's white but it also reminded me of a snowflake.
To bring out snow on the card I added some glitter around the edges and borders of the image, card and sentiment, and added some white flower soft to their clothing.

I wanted to give the sky in the background a little softness like a winter sky sometimes has. Then I added white flower soft to the ground just covering the grass, and a little on top of the back of the deer. Basically I was trying to get the look of new fallen snow. I then added mini snowflakes from my Martha Stewart border punch for accents.

A Few Parts and Stand Ins

It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!! This week's challenge is to create a card using more than one image. This was fun but a bit tricky since I wanted to use 2 images that were somehow related to each other. So the 2 I chose were Snowman parts, and Christmas Tree Stand Ins. I figured they are pretty similar since one image has the snowmen already assembled and in the other image, they are ready to be assembled.

I was in the mood for a little bit of both the traditional and non traditional colors for Christmas and decided to combine them all in one card. I know it's a pretty busy looking card but I think somehow you're still able to see the images for focal points.

All Glittered Up

Happy Monday!! I managed to get a little Christmas shopping this weekend, I know there are a few of you out there that are either finished shopping or almost finished shopping. I am usually a late shopper so this year I am actually very early!! LOL!!

I'm back with a new challenge for Belles n' Whistles and this time we'd like to see what you can do with glitter!! That's right, we want to see all the sparkle and shine on your card!

This adorable image is called Rockin' Around, and is another one of my favorite holiday images!! I loved making the rocking horse pink! It's just perfect for this little girl!! I had taken a closer photo of my card below to show where the glitter was added for the challenge. I had used stickles all around the borders of the image, sentiment and card. I've also added some stickles to the bells around the neck of the horse.

Christmas Is Coming or Winter Is Near

Hello everyone! I will be back later today to announce the winner of the Belles n' Whistles stamp!!

Today I'm sharing with you a card I created for this month's challenge for Sunday's With Crissy!

This month the theme is Christmas Is Coming or Winter Is Near!!

Crissy is going to do something a little different for blog candy with this month's challenge! In the spirit of Christmas and giving, she is going to give away one digital image to the first 12 players! AND she will be opening up the contest to include EVERYONE (not just for those using one of her images)!! So if you are one of the first twelve players to link up your Christmas/winter card on here, you will get your choice of one of Crissy's digital images from either Whimsy or Squigglefly! How fun is that!
Now to keep it fair, you must make a card specifically for this challenge. Any cards that are "back-linked" will not qualify.
And, if you don't make it in the race for top twelve, you can still have a chance to win at the end of this month. Crissy will still draw a name (using Random.org) from the participants, and that lucky person will get to choose 2 images of their choice from her collection.

Here's the card I created for the challenge using one of Crissy's NEW digital images called Teddy's First Christmas!! I just fell in love with his adorable face!! Lately I felt like I was making to many cards with non traditional Christmas colors so I went with the traditional red and green. One of the embellishments I hardly have a chance to use is flower soft, so during the holidays I bring out the white one to use for snow.
